AONTAS, the Irish National Association of Adult Education, recently commissioned research called 'Integrating Development into Adult Education', which is now available.

KADE's work with South Kerry Development Partnership in devising and delivering a "Train the Trainers" featured in the research project. The work included the provision of education methodologies in themes such as fair trade, globalisation and World debt.

The research was conducted in partnership with Irish Aid and aims to:
1. Examine the extent to which development education is understood in the adult and community education sector

2. To explore how adult educators might be supported in integrating development education into its work and processes using active citizenship as the main focus.
