
Visions of Africa is an annual, competitive, photographic exhibition whose aim is to challenge perceptions of Africa and promote a more comprehensive understanding of the diverse culture that springs from this vast continent; the emphasis is on celebrating the positive. The exhibition launches annually in May; 2011 is the fourth, consecutive year of the event.

Visions of Africa 2011 has so far been exhibited at The Gallery, Siamsa Tíre, Tralee and Castleisland library; it will appear at the Irish Aid Volunteering and Information Centre for the Month of November 2011.

The Tralee exhibition was launched on May 18th by Mayor of Tralee, Cllr. Gillian Wharton-Slattery.
