The Summer is approaching, with warm, sunny days becoming more frequent. Our energy levels rise with the long stretch in the evenings. Energy is abundant also, among many people in Kerry for development activities related to Africa, Asia and South America. Each positive action, of course, improves the future for everyone. So let’s all keep up the good work, come rain or shine! Peace, Rain & Prosperity.
A busy season of activity is upon us now. Spring sees renewed energy and activity across the county. KADE’s aim is to promote and support involvement in Development Education in County Kerry. It is certainly set to expand as a result of the county twinning project, and each action is a step closer to achievement of the MDG’s. Well done to all involved in development education activities!
Plenty of action on development issues this Spring/Summer. Campaigns and rallies, conferences and debates, plenty of opportunities to be involved and take action. KADE’s aim is to promote and support involvement in Dev Ed in County Kerry. We encourage all citizens to participate in whatever way is appropriate for them; the essential point is that each person’s action can and does make a difference, so make it a change for the better!
This new year began with the dramatic tsunami disaster. The response worldwide has been impressive, with an outpouring of empathy from people from all walks of life and geographic locations. Aid responses to crises as well as longer term capacity building development work are now to the forefront of the public’s mind.
The summer is upon us and schools are preparing for to close for a break. This season will hopefully find us enjoying good weather and holiday time. Development issues will continue to form a part of our lives as we go about our daily shopping and consider buying fairly traded products, or perhaps consider a holiday and the possible impact as tourists we may have upon another culture and its economy, etc....
